Fabral Offers a Solar Energy Solution
for Your Metal Roofing Needs

In this age of rising energy costs and the demand for sustainable design, Fabral is pleased to offer a green solution for your metal roofing needs.

Fabral’s Solar SSR system was designed with the highest quality, UL approved components. The flexibility and durability of these laminates make them ideal for metal roofs, where expansion, contraction and curving are considerations. Unlike polycrystalline photocells that are heavy and fragile, no roof penetrations and no additional structural support are required. And the panel/laminate bond that’s created has been tested and proven to withstand wind of 160 mph.

When it comes to generating electricity, compared to any other technology, Fabral’s Solar SSR laminates achieve higher relative efficiency under high temperatures and low light.

Fabral at 40: Customer focus drives four decades of growth

This September, Fabral celebrates four decades of success. Many will credit the company's 40 years of innovation and growth for that longevity and for transforming Fabral into an industry-leading supplier of metal roofing and siding.

But ask Fabral's president Kit Emert, and he'll tell you the true foundation of the company's success: the customer.

"The true key to longevity in any business is to stay focused on the customer," Emert says. "We've lived by that philosophy for 40 years, and fortunately we've built a team capable of translating that philosophy into action."

That has created a mutual loyalty with Fabral's customer base. In fact, many Fabral customers have been using Fabral products for decades, while others have been with Fabral since the beginning - Fabral truly values its customer relationships.

To honor that loyalty, Fabral will use its 40th anniversary to stage a yearlong "thank you" for its customers. Soon, the company will release details about customer-appreciation activities that will be scheduled in the field, at Fabral locations and at industry trade-shows.

Much has changed since 1967, when Fabral opened a single, modest manufacturing facility. Fabral, part of the Euramax family of companies, has the competitive advantage of 17 manufacturing locations throughout the U.S. and an architectural specialty sheet metal company in Texax named CopperCraft.

It also offers customers one of the most extensive product lines available, including numerous roof and wall profile designs and a wide variety of popular finishes, colors and substrates.

While Fabral has developed a strong growth strategy, it did so solely to improve service to customers. In fact, many of the changes at Fabral over the years were a direct response to customer need for a wider array of products, faster delivery and greater geographic availability.

In 2001, the company established a new division, Fabral Architectural Systems, giving the architectural design community and non-residential customers greater choice.

The company has also made key strategic acquisitions, purchasing other manufacturers that have broadened Fabral's product line and bolstered its geographic reach.

The 2006 purchase of both Jenisys Engineered Products and Mountain Metals Manufacturing gave Fabral's greater nationwide coverage and greater speed to market - critical benefits to customers. Fabral is working to provide efficiency and benefit through streamlined processes.

Today, Fabral's growth strategy has made the company the premier supplier in the United States. In addition to staying focused on the customer, Emert cites fast, accurate delivery of products and a 40-year commitment to quality and service as the bedrock principles that will continue to forge the company's future.

Customers remain at the core of Fabral's strategy, which continuously drives the company to find new ways to improve service. One key example: Fabral is currently implementing Lean Six Sigma throughout the organization. This proven process will drive even greater improvements to customer satisfaction by enabling Fabral to deliver quality products with great speed and efficiency.

In addition, Fabral will unveil a comprehensive new marketing program for customers in 2008 that will enhance current offerings such as advertising support, technical training, consistent communication and updates and lead generation - all designed to help grow their customers' business.

"Our entire team is incredibly proud of Fabral's first 40 years," Emert said. "But we all know that, if we want to maintain our industry-leading position and enjoy another 40 years of success, we have to keep our focus not only on the current expectations of our customers but also on their emerging needs."

Fabral Acquires Jenisys Engineered Products

Fabral is pleased to announce the acquisition of the assets of Jenisys Engineered Products. Jenisys, with seven manufacturing locations, is a nationwide manufacturer of metal roofing and siding products for the architectural, commercial, residential, post frame, mini-storage and agricultural markets.

"The strong market presence of both Fabral and Jenisys will create one of the metal roofing and siding industry's strongest and most capable organizations," says Fabral's President, Paul Emert. "Throughout the transition, we will be focused on delivering to our combined customers the exceptional quality and world class service that is expected of Fabral."

The combined assets of Fabral and Jenisys, along with the recent acquisition of Mountain Metals Manufacturing, makes Fabral the dominant player in the metal roofing and siding industry. With a total of 20 manufacturing locations and an expanded product offering, Fabral is poised to maximize customer satisfaction while continuing to build a foundation for future growth.

Fabral Acquires Mountain Metals Manufacturing

Fabral is pleased to announce the acquisition of the assets of Mountain Metals Manufacturing Corp. "The Mountain Metals acquisition is an ideal strategic and operational fit for our organization, espanding our product and distribution network, and providing a tremendous foundation from which to enhance our market penetration throughout the Southeast," says Fabral's President, Nick Dowd. "The strong commitment to customer service and teamwork exhibited by the Mountain Metals employees is consistent with our own philosophy and commitment towards providing superior value for our customers."

"The acquisition of Mountain Metals will bring the number of Fabral operations throughout the United States to 15," says Dowd. "We're excited about the opportunities to levarage the combined assets of both organizations towards enhancing our customers' experience with us."
